GOLF IS A GO! GOLF IS A GO!
RUMORS going around that the golf tournament is canceled are just that; rumors.
If you're signed up to play, show up at the golf course Friday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 for 9:00 start!
Greetings Fellow Traveler!
Welcome to the 32nd Annual Ventura County Alcoholics Anonymous Convention. The Committee is hard at work putting together an exciting and fun filled weekend for everyone. If this is your first convention, we welcome you. I attended my first convention in 1995 with just 3 months sobriety. I walked away from that weekend knowing that I was part of something very special, very important and very big. That feeling of belonging gave me the hope I had always been missing. I had in a sense been given The Keys of the Kingdom. I hope you find what I did. The spirituality and strength of 1200+ recovered alcoholics congregated in one place is something you must experience.
If you truly want to immerse yourself in the weekend, take a room at The Hyatt for one night or the entire Labor Day Weekend. Ask for the VCAA room block to receive our special room rate.
So, relax, take it easy and join us in a celebration of sobriety.
